Silom and Sathorn

The Silom and Sathorn road areas are in the heart of the Central Business District as are the beautiful gardens of Lumpini Park. The pace here is fast and very business like.

Situated along Sathorn road are embassies and head offices of many financial institutions. Similarly, along Silom road are the head offices of local banks, law firms and multinational corporations. Access in and out of the area is relatively easy and facilitated by the Bangkok skytrain and expressway.

From 6:00 PM onwards, along Silom Road are numerous street bazaars selling everything from cloths, to watches and souvenirs. To complete your entertainment options, there's a good choice of pubs and restaurants and Patpong is just around the corner.

Siam and Pratunam

Siam Square and Pratunam are popular shopping areas especially for things like cloths, shoes, hand bags, fashion accessories, jewelry and of course - Thai souvenirs.

Having undergone a recent refurbishment, Siam Center offers a high level of shopping in comfort and convenience. The shopping complex features the latest in branded clothes and fashion boutiques. With the addition of the Bangkok skytrain, and its proximity to Maboonkrong-shopping center (MBK), Siam Center remains a prime shopping area with a wide selection of shops, restaurants, and entertainment complexes.

Near by, is Pratunam, more readily known for its street market bazaar and local vendors. Pratunam offers bargain prices for T shirts, pants, shoes, calculators, watches, jewelry and souvenirs. If you are looking for something more up market - the World Trade center is nearby. This large shopping complex is adjacent to Pratunam, offering a similar range of merchandise to Siam Center in air-conditioned shopping comfort.
